California town 2nd most expensive

Forbes listed 94027 - Atherton, California as the second most expensive zip code in the country after 07620 - Alpine, New Jersey. Despite a 23% decline over the last 12 months, the median asking price in Atherton, in the Bay area, is priced at $3.85 million. Alpine is on top with a median asking price of $4.14 million despite the same rate of decline. New York's West Village 10014 comes in third with a $3.5 million median. West Village experienced a 24% decrease from last year. Forbes' 500 Most Expensive Zip Codes list included Duarte, Beverly Hills, Rancho, Santa Fe, Santa Barbara and Los Altos Hills in their top 10, taking spots 4 through 8 with prices around $3 million.
